Dear everybody,
This week I am still reading the Children of the Lamp by P. B. Kerr. I am about half way through and so far it has been great! I only need two more books, but I know what I am going to read: the Goal and the Wizard of Oz. If anyone has read those books and cares to tell me about them, feel free.
If I were to pick four songs to be my book's soundtrack, I would pick...
1. Friend Like Me by Robin Williams. This song is from the movie Aladdin and is played when Aladdin first discovers the genie. This song would be included because this is exactly what the two main characters think when they find out that they are djinn, or genies.
2. Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. I would choose this song because when the main characters' uncle tells them that they are djinn they think that he has gone off the deep end.
3. Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. This song would most certainly go on the soundtrack because the kids are traveling in Egypt and are always complaining of the heat.
4. Kung Fu Fighting by carl Douglas. I would choose this song because the two children have to learn how to use their powers to fight. In the book, they even compare their training to the movie the Karate Kid.
I hope everyone had a great Easter break, I know I did! Enjoy your last day. See you on Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Bridget
You have to read The Cay by Theodore Taylor. It is an amazing book. Also Gnarls Barkley is a quality artist and I used one of his songs to!!!!!!!
