Hooked

Dear Miss K.,
This week I continued reading Hooked by Matt Richtel.  So far it has been one of my favorite books and a real page-turner.  Also, like many of the other books I have read, it leaves you wanting more at the end of each chapter.
In Hooked, the main character Nathaniel, or as his friends call him "Nat", could be a realistic character.  He has basic problems and stress like everyone else, and deals with them the same way a regular person would.  However, the story and the plot are a little far fetched.  I don't want to give too much away, but his girlfriend died in a suspicious boating accident and in order to find out what really happened he meets some crazy people and does some crazy things.
In all of the books that I have read so far this year, Hooked is probably number five on my list, but the very best would either be Mockingjay, The Lightning Thief series, I.Q., or the Gregor and the Underland Chronicles series.  Mockingjay and the Underland Chronicles series are both by Suzane Collins, one of my favorite authors.  Some other great books that I would recommend to people who like the Hunger Games series is the Uglies series which includes Uglies, PrettiesSpecials, and Extras.
So far I have read 37 books and only need three more! I need one Traditional Literature, one Poetry, and one Biography.  I would really like to get the Biography out of the way first, so if you know one that is worth reading, let me know!
     Sincerely,
     Bridget
